What is Forever Young BBL™?
We begin to lose collagen starting in our late 20s, which leads to a loss of elasticity and the formation of lines and wrinkles. Forever Young BBL™ (Broadband Light™ therapy) is an innovative technology that utilizes pulsed light energy to target and reverse the signs of aging and sun damage. The light heats the upper layers of the skin, stimulating new collagen. Additionally, fine vessels and pigmented lesions absorb the light energy, destroying and eliminating it from the skin. The result of Forever Young BBL™ is a youthful, refreshed, and rejuvenated appearance with firmer and smoother skin.

- Pigmented Lesions (freckles, age spots, sun spots, melasma)
- Hemangiomas (red spots)
- Fine lines
- Redness and Rosacea
- Loss of skin elasticity
- Uneven Skin Texture
What are the Treatment Areas?
Any area of your body can be treated, but the most popular treatment locations are the face, neck, back of the hands, chest, and shoulders.
What Does the Treatment Feel Like?
The procedure is gentle, non-invasive, and safe. You may briefly feel a warm or light “rubber band snap” sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted area. Generally, there is no need for a topical anesthetic, but our skin experts may choose to use it on more sensitive areas.
How Long Does One Treatment Take?
One treatment typically takes 30-45 minutes, depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type of procedure performed. Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses.
How Many Treatments are Recommended?
Our skin experts will work with you to personalize a treatment plan based on your skin needs and the level of improvement you desire. Initially, we recommend a series of treatments, followed by maintenance treatments. Our experts may also combine your treatment with other popular aesthetic procedures to further enhance the outcome.
What Should I Expect After the Treatment? How Long Will it Take to Recover?
This is a non-invasive and gentle procedure with virtually no downtime. In most cases, you are able to return to work, apply makeup, and resume most of your activities immediately. You may experience some redness, but that should resolve within a few hours. Pigmented lesions will darken and gradually flake off and fade over the next 7-10 days. Treated skin will often feel smoother, fine lines and pores can begin to be less noticeable, and sunspots/uneven pigmentation will fade. Results depend on your skin’s condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated.
What Aftercare Do I Need?
It is important to follow our expert’s aftercare instructions. Proper skincare products will be recommended based on your unique needs. If you must go outdoors, it is recommended that you cover your treated skin and use sunblock of at least SPF 30.
Am I a Candidate?
Most clients are able to get the HydraFacial treatment, however, an active tan from the sun or tanning beds is not appropriate for treating with BBL. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure in the area to be treated for a period of 3 weeks prior to treatment with BBL. Self-tanning lotion must be faded from the skin for at least 7 to 10 days prior to treatment.
