BBL Hair Removal
What is BBL Hair Removal?
Also known as “Forever Bare BBL™”, it’s an innovative technology that uses pulsed light energy to target, heat, and destroy hair follicles. Typically, you can expect 60-90% hair reduction.
BBL (BroadBand Light™) is the fastest, most comfortable, and safest hair removal option because it uses low pulses of light energy at high repetition. Traditionally, other hair removal devices use all of their energy at one time, in one area.
Why BBL Hair Removal?
- Even coverage with minimal missed areas of hair
- Less painful and safer than laser hair removal
- Removes unwanted hair
- Removes ingrown hair
What are the treatment areas? What does it feel like?
Any area can be treated, but the most popular treatment areas are the face, neck, back of the hands, chest, and shoulders.
The procedure is gentle, non-invasive, and safe. You may briefly feel a warm or light “rubber band snap” sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted area. Generally, there is no need for a topical anesthetic, but our skin experts may choose to use it on more sensitive areas. Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses.
BBL Hair Removal vs. Waxing & Shaving
When you break down the cost, BBL is by far the cheapest option to remove hair. Not only is it the cheapest, but the hair is gone forever!
Analysts have calculated the total cost of shaving with cheap and quality razors. Thirty-five years of shaving with a cheap razor cost almost $6,000! This includes the cost of shaving cream. Thirty-five years of shaving with better quality razors such as Venus costs $6,800 including shaving cream.
The cost of waxing depends on the size of the area being done. Analysts have found waxing the pubic area for thirty-five years costs $11,025!!! Both waxing and shaving are more expensive than BBL and are not near as effective in getting rid of the hair. There is also the amount of time it takes to shave every week or drive to the salon to get waxed every 6 weeks.
BBL is the most cost-effective and the cheapest option for hair removal. Have your body treated with BBL and save the money you would spend on waxing and shaving and take a relaxing vacation!
How long does one treatment take and how many treatments are recommended?
A single treatment takes 30-45 minutes, depending on the size of the area to be treated.
Initially, we recommend a series of 4-12 treatments, spaced 4-8 weeks apart until the desired result is achieved.
Our trained experts work with you to personalize a skincare plan based on your skin needs and the level of improvement you desire. We may also recommend combination therapy with other popular aesthetic procedures to further enhance your outcome.
What pre- and post-care is required?
- Shave your hair prior to the appointment
- Avoid sun exposure in the area to be treated for 3 weeks prior to treatment
- Let self-tanning lotion fade from the skin 7-10 days prior to treatment
For a full post-treatment plan, please see the “Forever Bare BBL take home instructions” in the box to the right. A quick run-down of post-care includes:
- Avoid tanning beds and direct sunlight exposure for 7-14 days.
- Wear SPF 30+ and reapply every 2 hours.
- Avoid shaving, scented lotions, and aggressive scrubbing.
In most cases, you are able to return to work and resume most of your activities immediately.
When can I expect to see results?
Hair may take up to 4 weeks to fall out but may take as little as a few days. Hair grows in cycles, so multiple treatments will be needed to target each of the stages. Typically, you can expect to see 60-90% hair reduction, depending on the color and location of hair follicles.
Plus, over the next 36 months, you’re skin will be stimulating collagen for an overall healthier glow.
What are the possible side effects?

- Redness, itching, or swelling around the treated hair follicles
- Mild sunburn-like sensation may last 2-24 hours
- Temporary blister, bruising, or discomfort
Proper skincare products will be recommended based on your unique needs.
