Hormone Replacement Therapy Testimonial: Vicky
We love sharing our Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) success stories with you! There’s no better way for us to share what hormones can do for you than directly from a patient- someone who has been through the entire process. Everyone comes to us for different reasons and have different goals for what they’d like to achieve throughout the program.
For Vicky, she wanted to feel 40 again. She wanted to sleep soundly through the night. Ultimately, she wanted to make the most of the rest of her life; hormone replacement therapy allowed her to do just that.
Hormone imbalances and deficiencies can present themselves as various symptoms:
- Hot flashes, depression, or anxiety
- Poor sleep, lack of energy or focus
- Weight gain or muscle mass loss for no apparent reason
- Mood swings, depression, or anxiety
- Decreased sex drive, vaginal dryness, or erectile dysfunction
Read more about these and additional symptoms that you might be experiencing right here.
How does our hormone replacement therapy program work?
After your initial consultation and then bloodwork review with one of our providers, we would have you start. We mostly use small pellets to deliver the hormones into your body.
- The size of the grain of rice
- Inserted under the skin of the fatty part of the buttocks
- Dissolve completely over the next 3-6 months, leaving no residual effects
After the first pellet insertion, peak lab levels are drawn around 4 weeks. Our providers then review the results to ensure an appropriate hormone dosage is prescribed. You’ll then come in every 3-6 months (depending on your medical history) for a recurring pellet insertion.
